FruitFlowers had its beginnings in the kitchens of Ellen Davis and Susan Ellman nearly 25 years ago.  Back then, our fresh floral fruit arrangements were available only in the Philadelphia area.  Today, we have a nationwide chain of franchised locations.  The corporate office is still located in Broomall, Pennsylvania, just west of Philadelphia, and is known by the original name, Incredibly Edible Delites®.

Co-owned by Barbara Bolton and Annette Boyd, Lancaster FruitFlowers opened its’ doors on January 19, 2004. The store is located at 2829 Lincoln Highway East in Ronks, Pennsylvania, just a short distance east of downtown Lancaster. While neither had planned on owning and operating a FruitFlowers franchise, they sort of “fell” into it!  It all began when Barbara purchased one of the hugely popular “Berry Special Someone” arrangements for her husband for Valentine’s Day in 2003.  He was overwhelmed with the gift when it was delivered to his office!  A few months later, Annette’s husband purchased the Fruit and Fudge as an anniversary gift for her and she was equally impressed.  Noticing that there were franchise territories available, they began investigating.  Believing that any successful business requires God’s guidance and blessing, the two friends prayed earnestly about their decision. And, to make a long story short, they soon became business partners and Lancaster FruitFlowers was created.

Lancaster Chamber of Commerce president, Tom Baldridge, accepts a FruitFlowers
arrangement in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Chamber, October, 2007

While both partners share equally in the day-to-day operations of the business, Annette is primarily responsible for the financial aspects while Barbara concentrates on the marketing and sales.

They are proud to be a part of the Lancaster business community and are active in the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, where Barbara serves as an ambassador, as well as a local chapter of the ABWA, SCORE’S Business Roundtable and the Connections Business Group.

Their “Strawberry Salute” is awarded to an individual or group in the Lancaster community that gives of themselves to improve our quality of life.

You will often find their arrangements gracing the banquet tables of various nonprofit organizations such as Bridge of Hope and Factory Youth Center when they solicit support from the community.

In addition, they are ardent supporters of the various charity auctions that provide funds for organizations such as the Humane League of Lancaster County, the New Holland Rec Center, local chapters of the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association as well as numerous school sports teams.
